Obi it’s winter lets rejoice!
Ok its still Autumn, but lets not cut hairs its getting cold and bloody dark outside its like midnight over the fields at 5pm by 6pm its spooky which I love of course :)
Or better still Oberon cheer up mate its only wet paws, and not the end of the world, well for a rather hairy and scruffy Tibetan terrier who’s more used to snow than rain, it’s a major downer for him he hates the rain as much as a cat hates the rain, only his reason is justified his paws get so matted in water, and all sorts of muck and some sticky balled plant that disintegrates into the crevices of his paws and claws.
Parts of stinging nettles and bramble stick always seem to attract themselves to him like a magnet.
Its almost a dragging match when we start on to the field, but once his paws are wet he gives up and just enjoys the walk, we are quite privileged the farmer is a really nice guy who has on occasion has given Obi a real rabbit usually dead from his morning shooting keeping as he calls it the crop wreckers numbers down but I have yet to meet a farmer that don’t take some kind of twisted joy in shooting another beats shooting himself or some other unfortunate dog walker, who he does have gripes about, he cant stand people who let there dogs run riot all over the fields shitting on his crops etc and on one instance two dogs attacked his Ducks and killed one for the sake of the kill, I remember him flying around in his massive 4x4 looking for the culprits with a massive shot gun on the back seat.
He pulled up this was the first time I have ever met the farmer I could see the anger in his face thinking maybe I done something wrong, but Obi being a little gentleman quietly walked beside me, the farmer looks at me and asks have I seen 2 large dogs with a woman? No I replied but I keep my eye open why? I ask trying to give a shit, oh they just ripped one of my ducks apart, that’s terrible how horrible for the poor bird.
I see, I have Obi on a extender lead, he try’s to smile and head back to the 4x4 and drives into the night, I never ever let Obi off the lead.
Tibby’s are a notorious breed for walking off and not thinking that don’t make them dum or anything like that, its just that there flighty and are very easily distracted, and this is with them up to the age of 3 years old, Obi is only 2 years old and still has no road sense.
When he was a minor of 10 months he ran on to the road and where we stay is a village with one road that leads to Harlow, Chelmsford, Bishop Stortford and Sawbridgeworth and is very busy most of the time.
I was putting out rubbish into the Recycle bin and the door blew open and Obi took the chance and dashed out the front door me and fox went after him, he was running in front of on coming traffic totally oblivious of the pending danger, lucky some drivers were obeying the speed limit of the village which is 30mph.
I was trying in vain to catch him but he was so agile and fast I could not catch him he ran across the road to a little boy who also tried to catch him but he was too fast, then he noticed Buster a large boxer dog who he plays with and ran across the road again in front of traffic, I was heading to a break down I was giving up that my little boy was going to die under the wheels of a car, van or truck.
In the end it was fox who got him, and dragged him back in the house, for the first time in my life I was near to tears, Obi turns to see me looking at him so upset, his mood changed he knows he did something naughty, I shouted at him so loud he cowered behind fix and tried to run away, fox calmed the situation down, I sat in the conservatory for ages trying to get my emotions under control and slow my heart rate down, before I would sit back in the front room obi was sitting watching me in the conservatory, he now started to cry cause I was keeping myself apart from him and I had my back to him, something that dogs in packs do when they are un happy with a dogs attitude, I have never kicked or scalded Obi but I will do things that another dog would do when un acceptable behaviour is not welcome.
Anyone who resorts to hitting a dog, don’t deserve one, you would not kick a child would you so what is it acceptable to kick a dog? Dog’s learn by example, with me if Obi doe’s something that is not nice, I turn my back on him and make some space between us, I give him no eye contact, or flank him or use one word commands like yes no stop fold or open arms depending on what’s going on.
Well this is my second instalment of the walkers tail, its all about living with a demanding sometimes rude sometime lovable sometimes crazy Tibetan terrier called Oberon aka Obi.

Reflexology.
It might surprise you to know that I have been practising Reflexology for nearly or just over 21 year’s, its an art that is so relaxing and sometimes very invigorating just ask Fox she has it 5-6 times a week, though If she paid for it, I have my 3D Telly by now.
The most important thing to have for reflexology other than the qualification is of course a place to do it, I have to places one is ready now just waiting to get my first few customers in the door, and the second is a work in progress.
The tavern will be the second place I will use it mostly during the spring, summer and autumn, and move back to the Green room to do the winter months the tavern might be a little too cold and there is nothing worse than a cold client.
Since I moved in to doing Indian head massage as well, I thought I could do with some diploma’s from the same place it all looks good on the wall and the company I did the diplomas with has a thing with some insurance company which only costs £50 a year and protects you up to the sum of 2Million a year insurance great.
The place in question is Carlton institute of therapy the nearest place is Brentwood for me to attend I can even get a bus from Potter street Harlow, though the price of the bus is costly £8 return or £5 one way.
The only grip I had was getting up so early in the morning first morning was not so bad Mum, Tom and Glen drove me to Brentwood for the course I just had to get the bus back home after the first day, well they picked me up exactly 8:30am it only took Tom 30 minutes to get there, and as I got out the car just outside the front entrance of the institute, only thing was the damn place has moved to the High Street thanks Carlton for that bit of information, I end up walking up and down the High street looking for the place.
In the end I was 10 minutes late for the start of the course, I hate being late and get anxious, in case they refuse me entry cause I am late for the start, but my state of mind always tries to sabotage everything at one time I would have walked away and made some excuse why I could not get there, this time I just went in and hoped for the best, what I got was big smiles and a welcome to the course.
The class is an Odd number in total including me is seven one for every deadly sin, mine would be vain lol, what that means is that one group will be a group of 3 and two groups of one on one.
We begin with introductions and a little information about ourselves and what we plan to do with our diplomas I tell them that I have nearly 21 years experience of reflexology, she asks me why do I want to do this course well I said I been practising for so long and I am quite sure I have picked up some bad habits and I want to do more for my clients, she seemed to accept that, and yes I did learn some new things and remembered things I have long since stopped doing.
I said to the instructor in private that instead of working on a group of three could I work on a member of staff? I did this before during the Indian head massage. She agrees with me that it be a good idea.
One of the girls has loose skin between her toes, the instructor looks at it thinking that it might be athletes foot, which it wasn’t but I felt sorry for the girl as everyone that touched her feet the students wore latex gloves, one of the things I have never done is wear gloves, I would rather disinfect my hands than wear gloves.
My experience shows during the class from foot rocking to handling, I find that more and more of the staff are coming to have there feet done, and over the course of the two days I was not corrected once, well in fact I resisted correcting the instructor on a number of occasions, her diagnosis of certain parts of the feet were wrong.
I just grit my teeth and remain silent, not wanting to cause ripples in class, the first day is almost over the thought of getting home wanders into my head I have to get a bus back to Harlow and get another bus from Harlow to Sheering. I am looking at a journey of at least 2 hours, talk about uncomfortable ride home my back is killing me, the good thing is the bus turns up at the stop just outside the institute, with in 10 mins.
I do not get back home till well after 7pm, I almost crawling in the front door Obi descends upon me, Fox has took 2 days off to keep Obi company in my absence.
Yelps and howls of happiness and nibbling licks and woofs, god I missed my wee boy so much we cuddle on the sofa, fox makes a tea, and asks you going to take him out for a walk soon? Yeah just let me have a tea first then we can go out.
I spend an hour just walking in the dark side paths on the fields before settling down to my flash of tea in St Mary’s church yard as our long walk comes to an end, its not often that Obi comes on the bench with me, and huddles up close happy that I am back with him.
The thoughts of the day replay in my head from the beginning, during my time meditation the bell starts to ding on the hour, it’s tone brings me out of my light trance, I spill the tea all over my groin, yuk I finish off the remaining liquid in my flash before heading off back home its now gone 9pm and I feel so tired, I’m ready for bed.
The second day I’m up so early its like 5:30am it feels like I am shovelling the cornflakes down my neck, at around 6am I finally finish my breakfast and take my tables, I carry not only my GTN but also some Tramadol as the day progresses I start to get a little painful in my hands, the amount of sessions I do, will be more than I would normally do in a day at most I could do 4 clients for reflexology but on the course your going from one to the next and because I was doing members of staff as well over the course of two days I have done 6 members of staff, and 4 students.
I use some of my own techniques, which the instructor keeps a keen eye on; not for correcting me but I sure it will make its way into the course next year lol, I actually don’t mind I think if someone is going to pay then they deserve all the goodness the therapist offers.
At the end of the day we collect our Diploma’s and leave all students scurrying of to there neck of the woods, the instructor and 2 other students ask for my phone number and email address to day no one has called or emailed me.
I get home the same routine with Obi but this time Fox collects me from Ongar high street and cuts my travel by nearly an hour and a half, so nice to get home at the 5pm mark, get home and have a cuppa and get on with taking Obi for his evening walk.
The next few days I spend trying to make myself a poster for the post office and consider doing an advert for the local paper the Sheering news, pity it all costs money, I have to wait till the new year to advertise in the Sheering news, but I do have an advert in the local P.O.
The thing is I am not happy with my advert I was wondering if people can see it or is it too messy do people actually look in the post office window? I don’t know really but I would like to do something a bit more and do my own art work but I am so crap at drawing or even the wording I could ask fox for help but she so tired when she comes home and our weekends are so tight that, finding the time to do art work and wording is lost in the background of everything else that needs doing.
So I want you all to do something for me, I want all my Essex London readers to link my blog to your twitter, FaceMalmEMoWLeBRbpP2XtR0V2C56fNVjjfNfew clients before Yule I love to take Fox to Paris for Yule or just even get a cheap 3D Telly lol, I mean if you don’t mind travelling you could always come and get your feet done or your head and shoulders, I could do a pamper party come along with a few friends and do IHM Reflex and Reiki massage.

The walker’s tail.
When people ask me what do I do to keep fit, namely my doctor or health professional, I always say dog walking, a bit of scorn thinking that’s not keeping fit, well here a bit of news for you my Oberon is fitter than most dogs, he has at least 3 hours of walking over fields woods and forests a day, makes me laugh when people say I do 1 hour a day in the gym or swim, compared to what me and obi get up to you got a long way to go yet mate.
Well let me introduce you to the man of the moment Oberon (a mid summers nights dream) his full title but we call him Obi for short, a very mild tempered Tibetan Terrier, first introduced to this fair land during the 50s by the then Dalai Lama, mostly these dogs are given as presents and not bought, Oberon was given to me by my Wife and her Sister, to help me over come my difficulties of health.
I remember it so well, Fox handing me this tiny ball of hair and a wet black nose, he was shivering being in a strange place, I just held him hugged him loved him from the second I was holding this bundle of delicate flesh and bone, that would one day become the world to me not that he already did that but as he got older, bolder and wiser and how much I would be lost with out him.
That for me was the best ever October of my life, Fox and her sister drove all the way to Yorkshire to collect him they stayed over night in a hotel, I stayed at home watching the telly and got my self a TV Dinner and went to bed early and waited.
It was early evening when he came into my life, scared and missing his mother and sisters, I had a pang of Guilt, doing that to him, to him a big house to explore, his paws touched the ground and he was off looking for his familiar friends, he could find none, except for a few soft toy’s and blanket that was brought with him, so he did not pine for his mum, he still did, a mournful cry, when he did this I just cuddled him kissed him and made his pain as little as possible distracted him with games and tickles.
For the first week of his life he just pottered around getting used to the cottage, from room to room he go, he is such a sniffer, he be happy to have his nose stuck to the ground all day if he could get away with it.
It’s coming up Yule and for the first time I will be with out Obi he be home with Fox while I go and do some Yule shopping for the family, up till then he was pleasant but never acted like he loved me as much as I loved him, Fox told me so many times he does love you, but your always with him so he takes for granted my presence.
I grab the 59 to Harlow, and off I go when I get to town I call fox up to let her know I got there, she tells me Obi has been crying none stop, yet I can’t hear him so I think she saying it to let me feel my little boy is missing me, but I do the usual thing of saying I will not be too long and planned to get the next bus, the buses run every hour.
In fact I was gone for nearly two hours, just taking in the shops, waiting in crowds of people trying to purchase Yule presents for young ones, I went from shop to shop and found most of everything I was after the Santa’s stall or grotto more like grotty in my view and its never ending crowd of kids wanting there small presents for a large amount of money and the picture that some big tittied elf takes and charges £5 for the print.
As I walk out of the Harvey centre I get another call from Fox you coming home yet he driving me up the wall with his howling, its then I hear it like a long mournful howl like a banshee, awwww I quip he sounds so sorry for himself, then do something about it fox says get home as soon as possible.
I can barely get in the door Obi has jumped me as soon as the key turns the barrel lock of the front door, wagging tail and a way he twists and turns at my legs and jumps up his front fluffy paws milk my belly, Fox stands smiling see told you he miss you, I just drop my bags and pick him up and I get licked so much that my whole face is gleaming from dog saliva, my ears do not only get cleaned but nibbled as well, playful and excited yelps of one happy dog, and I feel so loved, we walk out to the back garden and play football, his eager paws chasing what ball is kicked.
He has had all his shot’s and can now go out but only for short 30 minute walks, we get him an extender lead, its time for the boy to meet the world, the first dog he meets is K.C a long haired female Collie, she 1 and a half years old playful and a bit of a tease, but she loves him and he loves her, she puts one of her paws on his head to stop him dead in his tracks and from that he learns a valuable lesson about putting his body fully down on the ground, before playing, K.C owners ponder what puppies would be like if the two of them mated?
I let it pass I have no intention of letting Obi mate at such a tender age, and anyway his balls have not dropped yet, all he wants to do is sniff piss and poo and play games.
He meets a few dogs that will become firm friends and one dog that we nicknamed the demon dog, a large golden Mastiff, that would like to rip his head off first chance it gets there is always one that for some reason only known to the owner its so aggressive I try as best I can to keep the two apart the demon dog is so big the woman who walks him can’t actually move him he is so strong, and I have to pass with the dog barking and growling Obi at first did the same back and bearing his teeth and snarling but over time Obi just ignores the dum dog, which is great even though they had a fight in the graveyard last year, and the demon dog came off second best cause Obi bite him in the arse, and I was able to pull Obi out of the reach of the demon dogs lead.
The owner and my eyes met, she apologised, for the un provoked attack but I could not say anything other than please keep your dog under control, what she did not see was I had my skinning knife on me, I would have put the blade into the dog if it got free of its harness.
Now don’t get the wrong idea of me carrying a knife I have always done so, for practical reasons I live in the countryside, I have come across things that need cutting and stuff, and as for the demon dog yes I would have protected my Obi with my life if I had to, but I do not blame the dog a dog does what it does from what its owners have taught it, the dog is the way it is simply by the ineffectiveness of the owners training, Obi has had training in my book a little too early in life but he listens when I talk to him and he is never off the lead, till I am completely sure he will be a one command and obey type dog, unlike some of the dogs in the town park.
As the month pass we get a lot of snow and Obi absolutely loves it and being a Tibetan, there is a lot of snow there, he right at home, his mad dash up and down the little lanes I make as I trundle around the garden, I try to make a snow man but Obi has other Idea’s and excitedly jump on the heap of snow flattening it, so I decide to build a snow dog and throw it all over him, his coat is shaggy his hair over his eyes its time for his first visit to Natalie my sister in law who is a dog groomer.
And fur, paws and chops did fly, his first introduction was not a happy one he howled, chewed and cried constantly thinking he was being killed. It took the better part of 2 hours to do him, but god it was tiring well it was for Natalie and Fox I just kept her dogs happy with the bag of treats I took over for them, thinking that Obi might be a brat, and I was right he was a brat.
But he got lots of treats that night and a new toy to play with but he did look good, and walking him all the other owners thought he looked smart.
The most part of being with Obi is the walks now over an hour at a time, we walk, talk and play sometime we even sing most of my songs are corrupted versions of songs that has Obi attached to them, my love knows no bounds for this bundle of shaggy hair.
There is nothing better than getting totally lost in the countryside on a nice warm day a rucksack full of goodies and treats and spend the better part of a morning walking in woods ditches and fields, meeting other dogs it was during one of these walks he met Harry and Lulu.
I could see these two little white dogs scurrying towards Obi he lays down on the soft warm ground his head pointed towards the hurried little legs, galloping towards him, they almost jump on him and start to play and obi joins in for the next 10 minutes he run’s jumps and chases the two little dogs around the field or as far as his lead will let him which is around 15 feet.
There mother is Jean and we chat about the nice weather and she tells me that her and her husband have not that long moved into the village our little hamlet is really only a few roads of the main street and its called the street, 4 shops a butcher, post office, café and a hairdressers, church and hall and village hall that’s all it has ooh year and two pubs the cock and Crown, I have never been in the Crown but I have been in the cock on a few occasions mostly to watch football when I did not have sky sports, apparently Rod Stewart likes to go into the pub on occasion since he lives near by and Iron Maiden have a massive house on one of the walks me and Obi wander on I never seen any of them on my travels, mostly just other dog walkers and the occasional bird watcher.
During one early walk, after Fox has gone to work, the first one of the day usually is very long nearly an Hour and a half sometimes more, we came across a couple of air heads smoking weed, there reflexes was so slow, the girl commenting on how nice Obi was, tried to get up from the ground only to discover gravity works and promptly fell flat on her arse, obi amused give them is wicked smile and trots over and licks them furiously the girl holding him, she giggles at how soft he feels, and says it be nice if she had a dog like him, after a few minutes we get on our way leaving the stoned teenagers to get on with what ever they were doing, part of our walk takes us over the M11, a foot bridge spans the whole motor way obi loves watching the cars speed by sometimes letting out a bark to show he can be just as loud as the screaming sports penis extensions.
One of the things I like most about our walks is the thinking space it allows you, and I’m a thinker I love to mull things over in my head, and it can be just about anything from playing my games to something I read to a friend that I want to help, and music I love my music when I walk, and since I got my Iphone I sometimes like to update my Facebook or twitter or text take pictures with my camera, of the blossoms, hedgerows, crops and the wild life if your fast enough to catch them there are so many deer here but you got to be fast to photograph one and as of date I never been fast enough.
Obi is very good he helps me collect firewood from the fields most of the time he bring a branch back to the cottage to chew then leave it for me to put on the fire this is something we do on a daily basis, simply because its good practice, coal and logs are costly and every bit we bring back from the fields count’s towards something so far I have not once had to buy kindling simply be cause there is an abundance of the stuff out side our front door, and I even got quite a few trunks I have dragged over the fields to the back garden and then I cut them up for logs, which is fun cause Obi thinks I getting it for him and he tug’s and pulls it as well, which is fun for both us.
But most of all I like is when we spend the evening in the local Church yard St Mary’s which is down Church lane Sheering, most evenings we spend 20-30 mins drinking my flash of tea, I like to rest cause of my heart I have to stop at some point, this makes a great place to rest my bones before the walk back to our cottage.
More to come at a later date this will be really a blog about my dog and me.

The Hospital.
I should be used to it by now that familiar pain in my arm, but the truth is you never forget it and its akin to dear god is this it? Am I going to die? The day started like most days Fox goes to work, obi and me go for long walks over the field.
His last walk, my arms feel a little funny not the familiar painful pins and needles, more of a dull, thudding pain my middle back between the shoulders feels a little tight, it gets worse, and I don’t have my GTN, but I carry on and get home, Obi is messy his hair is long and he has poo on it and needs cleaning I take him to the conservatory a bowl of warm soapy water a towel and scissors.
I start to clean him then the pain gets worse, I feel sick, but its that type of feeling if you were sick you feel ok, but I just get the feeling I want to be sick it doe’s not leave I walk into the front room Fox is watching the telly asks you ok, she sees that I am frightened I tell her no, I need my GTN she dashes for it, the pain is getting worse and I am sitting on the edge of the settee, I look at fox and tell her she best call the ambulance, as the ambulance departs, I look at fox I silently tell her I love her, as the doors close and I am rushed to the Harlow A&E, I spend the next two days in some room, the hospital is full to breaking point, no space or room on the cardiac ward, I remain in the A&E side room with 4 other men, waiting for a place in the main wards to become available.
Princess Alexandra Hospital is a big place I used to work there many years ago, and know the lay out of the place, it even has its own mental health unit, it’s purported to be ultra modern but it hides a terrible secret its in dire need of cash, and some of the wards are a lot to be desired as well as being under staffed and so many nurses from other countries, a vast majority of them could only talk a small amount of English at best lucky I know hospital talk and can get along on my own even in a vulnerable state that I was in.
It took them 2 and a half days to move me to the cardiac ward, it was full up and I was put in a side room all by myself which was nice I hate crowds, and cause they know I was an old employee of the hospital I got the better of the rooms on offer, I was moved at 3am to be truthful I could not sleep in A&E it was far too cold and the amount of people coming and going to different wards was a constant noise as well as the main A&E just around the corner you hear people scream in pain as the ambulance drops them off.
I also had another reason not to sleep a guy across from me was so dodgy looking he was eyeing up my Iphone almost constantly at one point I went to the toilet and forgot my phone but I was only gone for 10seconds and came back to find him trying to pinch the bloody thing, what you doing mate, Oh! He says I was going to bring it to you, like fuck you were, I thought to myself. I clocked this guy the second he came thru the door of the A&E, the Police came to the little side ward to interview him over some commotion he got himself into, he started to talk in Polish and acted like he did not speak a word of English, the police frustrated leave the ward the guy sits back down on his bed the other men in the room feel the same as me, we want to see the back of the fucker.
I get a visit from fox and I’m so tired my family come up and I look like death warmed up but its not the heart that’s the problem its lack of sleep because of the thieving git opposite me on the ward, in the end I get Fox to take my Iphone home with her till I am moved out of the place.
That same night I am moved to the cardiac ward, the next day my sister arrives and brings me my PSP and my much-loved Iphone back, I quickly settle in the cardiac ward, and my little side room, I play a Pirate game for the next 8 days that I am a patient of the ward, the daily routine of getting up at 7:30am my first set of Injections of Insulin, and some other injection in my belly which is not sore but gets a bit painful after 2 mins its given, I take my tablets and I have Breakfast, sometimes I sneak out of the ward and head to the Restaurant down stairs from the ward, and grab a mug of tea and some toast which is warm.
For all the time I was there, I had a lot of time to reflect on my life, not that I have a death wish in fact I do want to live its only when your facing that uncertainty where the veil of life and death you realize how close you come to the end of every thing, music, laughter, tears, love, knowledge, friends, warm, cold and the thought I might never see my Oberon again.
I would just draw the curtain in front of my bed so no one could see me and quietly sob, at how close I had come again and again this has happened, each time I thank myself for surviving but now I am thinking one of these days I will not be so lucky, I don’t fear death what I fear is leaving the people I love, the dog I adore the friends I love so much, the family that means the world to me, for really the first time in my life I want to fight and hold on, and never ever let go.
Over the past 3 year’s I had Five Angioplasties performed two on both sides of my groin well not on the groin but at the side each time it was a very painful experience the last time it was so sore, I wanted the doctor/surgeon to just kill me, to this day I think they wanted me to feel the pain maybe in a way to make me change my ways and lead a more healthy life style which is great in my books, but you see bad hearts is not only by a bad life style you can be pre programmed for it as well it run’s in the family my granddad died of it my mum died of it and well, I making my way there, only difference I have asked of help in dealing with my heart problems.
I soon settle into the little side room, and just potter around my room, glad of not being on a ward full of people well there are lots of people but I can’t see them when I close my door or pull the curtain.
I follow a daily routine to keep me going I walk around the hospital in my Superman PJs, it always raises a smile, I talk to some of the other people in the Cardiac ward, some old guy come in for his first angioplasty, so I spend sometime talking to him about the preparation for the operation, and what happens during the op its self, I find most people who have never had one done get quite scared of it, after all the surgeon pushes a tube into your heart and pumps out a quality of dye to make the arteries show on the telly screens, and of course put the stints in if they are needed.
As of date I have 5 of them keeping my heart ticking over, some times you can feel them scrap against your back its never a nice feeling at times really painful simply because it has a blockage.
The hardest part of the operation is staying still even when its painful, and for the last two times it was so bloody painful, the last time I just wanted to die so the pain would just go away.
I can put a face on that shows calm but in fact I did not want them going via my legs ever again I talked to the doctor explained I was not happy about the way they go in, this time he says he go in via my right arm…
It did not hurt that much but was a little painful and I could hear the tube scrap as it went over or under my shoulder blade but compared to when I had it in the leg it was so easy, I made sure I got tonnes of relaxing medication, and the injection into the belly for 5 days was to thin the blood so the procedure would be more easy for the doctor to perform.
There is one sound you never like to hear on a ward, it panic’s you for a few seconds is the Crash call, a high pitched sound beeping away an automated voice calls CRASH-CRASH-CRASH BAY E BED 3 CRASH-CRASH-CRASH. This repeats till it is turned off, the hurried footsteps of nurses and doctors the crashing along the corridor as the crash box is dragged to the bed, the whine of the De-Fib as its charged, muffled voices directing members of staff, relatives crying in the corridor, you might be dieing for a pee but you don’t leave your room not out of respect but out of fear, that death might stair you face to face or the face of a relatives eye might catch you un-aware, and what do you do?
So what you do is sit in your room and wait, draw your curtain and pee in the sink if you have too, just so as you don’t intrude well in fact the nurses are quite fast at getting relatives out of the way of the main corridor so the patients can go about there business, as soon as the all clear comes, there is a mad dash for the loo, my room is next to the loo so I get there mostly first, you can wait Mr 90yO.
One night I am laying propped up in bed I got one of those fancy beds that mould to your body and I was playing Pirates on the PSP, for a change I took the earphones off, I was getting sick of putting stuff in my ears, after an hour of play one of the nurses came in and asked me to put the ear phones back on, I apparently I was driving the staff up the wall with the battle sounds of cannon fire, and the dancing music when I took the Governors Daughter to the local dance, to score brownie points in the game.
It felt a bit reminiscent of my time in Brighton General hospital after my first heart attack, when my sister and her man John got me a mini dvd telly for the ward, and gave me a lone of his Red Dwarf DVDs, I was laying propped up again watching the program with ear phones on but I was laughing so much, some old bint complained to the nurses I was being too cheerful… Can’t win… it caused a commotion on the little four bed ward I was on, some guy stood up for me and said least he not depressed, wish I had one of those players myself, so we watched more Red Dwarf only with the sound down low except for our Laughter which pissed the old bint off, who was more than happy being depressed, stuck in the corner of the ward.
See laugher makes healing so much easy to handle, nothing worse than being in a room by yourself with nothing to do except reflect and moan about your lot in life.

Ahoy mates, no sorry for being so long away from the key board this time when in fact I was never far away anyway, I was just doing other things, but it has been bloody ages since I did myself a blog and just let rip.
You know I don’t even remember my last post but to bring you up to speed a lot has happened a visit and 4 stints when I had my last heart attack, more qualifications for Reflexology and I have even advertised myself well in the local post office that is and nope the phone not rung yet with an eager client.
I even have my own treatment room one and two well two has a way to go before I call it a treatment room the tavern still dark but cosy must be all that pirate stuff collecting on the shelf’s and my models yeah found my hand for models again after so long done 4 over the past months Voyager, Space shuttle and Saturn V and I’m working on the HMS Victory battle ship now that’s a crafty wee thing so fiddly but I intend to take my time with that one.
Well it was Halloween yesterday, the Village had a party, I never been to a Halloween party before so did not know what to expect other than dressing up, I decided I would wear my Star Trek top from NG security officer, which is not bad and it was noticed right away ooh there’s a trekkie boomed Linda the local dog’s body who works in the post office and café when she is needed.
I took a bowl of chocolate buttons in mini packets and some variety of sweets in bags meant for Halloween, the whole thing lasted 20 seconds when 4 little boys decided to help them self’s to the goodies talk about greedy they were.
I wanted to tell them leave some for the other kids, but there is this attitude in the world that you just can’t tell a kid off, when its not your own, after 10 minutes I was actually starting to feel like a predator some evil molester with all these kids sugaring around, and the fact of the matter was I never wanted kids me and fox decided a long-long time ago we would never have children, agreeing that this world or country was too sick to bring a child in to, and my view has not changed with all the abuse that’s going on, and some people will make you believe its an epidemic, when in fact its not, just more people report it and the police have made leaps and bounds when it comes to investigating such crimes.
But why should I feel like a predator no one said ooh that guy looks a bit dodgy or anything like that, nor did mum’s and dad’s grab there kids in front of me and drag them away from the sweet table, I would have been quite happy and content to sit there all evening like I do most morning on my little seat in the café I call my part time office.
But I could not contain my feelings of unease and discomfort, I choose to sit at my usual table in the café over looking the deli counter only thing was the table was a treat table and all the kids kept coming up and taking handfuls of sweets, the bowl I took to the café was gone in seconds chocolate buttons and all.
The more I sat at the table the more I felt like a predator, a guy with a camera no kids, on my own dressed up as some star fleet perv, I had to get out, lucky for me everyone was so busy doing there own thing, I got away un-noticed by all, I could not tell Lorraine that I felt this way she was so busy keeping fort, some little boys were wanting to fill up there water pistols, squirt-squirt your wet!
I saw my bid for freedom, and I took it lucky for me I stay so close the café and legged it back home, stating I had to take Obi for a walk, it was really dark, a bit of a chill in the air but no wind, just the hurried bustle of excitement and screaming kids filled the night sky as I turned the key in the barrel of the lock, in the safety of my home.
Had a quick dinner baked potato and coleslaw, Obi mopping around feeling that he has missed his evening walk, as soon as I finish he starts his usual, I want a walk dance, fully stretched his big fluffy paws on my belly and his little eye rolls, rubbing his ears ok then big fella lets get ready.
The thing is I always celebrate Halloween or as I call it All souls night, instead of being in a huge party of living people I tend to spend it with the dead in a local graveyard and toast the dearly departed, which I did the local haunt is St Mary’s down Church Lane but you can get to it via the fields, instead of going along the only main street of Sheering.
I’m not too sure if Obi likes the night time walks fox seems to think he don’t but I on the other hand do think he likes it, he never scared or jumpy not sure if a dog can see in the dark like a cat doe’s but still he goes and does his business here there and every where the only thing I don’t like him doing is peeing on gravestones I always tell him of for this and apologise to the Etheric spirit that maybe lucking about.
Tonight I have took my Tripod and camera so that I could get some dark nighttime shots, some good results I hope you all like.
Well its over from me I in-tend to write more blogs I know I have neglected to write in quite a long time I promise to be more active in the coming few months since Yule is coming and something always happens positive or negative It should be fun.
